Greenland Mines Ltd (Nasdaq: GRML) shares surged more than 100% in premarket trading Monday as U.S.-listed companies with exposure to Greenland rallied following the announcement of a security agreement involving the United States, Denmark and Greenland, according to CNBC reporter Sam Meredith. CNBC reported that the agreement is expected to establish a significant U.S. military presence in Greenland while preventing U.S. adversaries from establishing bases there.
CNBC noted that Greenland Mines is a natural resources company working on the Skaergaard Project, which ranks among the world’s largest undeveloped palladium, gold and platinum deposits. The rally extended across other Greenland-linked companies, with Greenland Energy shares rising more than 154% in premarket trading and Critical Metals Corp. gaining nearly 27%, according to the report.
